Leo is the fixed, fire sign of the Sun that signifies central figures, leaders and enduring ideals and aspirations. Like the other fixed signs, Leo can be a bit resistant to change and a new moon in this sign can feel less like a shake up than it can in the cardinal or mutable signs. But given that this new moon will be opposed by Pluto in Aquarius, another fixed sign, the churning transformation happening within groups of people and society at large (Aquarius) could confront who and what we have looked to for our north star in the past. The new moon will also be receiving a supportive trine from Saturn and Neptune who are both retrograde in Aires. If Aires can be seen as will and action and a retrograde is to review or rethink something, how can a rethinking of our efforts and our will while recognizing our limitations (Saturn) and our delusions (Neptune) lead us to a new paradigm that guides us forward.
In meditation we will simply make space for the churning to settle, for the mind, heart and body to settle. When we have a sense of spaciousness with things as they are, we will have access to greater clarity when the time comes to act.
