yoga for teachers
Take care of yourself as well as you take care of your students!
Teachers often cultivate the habit of taking care of others more than they take care of themselves. "Yoga for Teachers" is a 5-week series that brings our awareness back to ourselves.
Although each class will combine movement and breath, every two weeks we will focus on awareness and relaxation of common areas of stress for teachers.
In this series you will become aware of the necessity of self-care, discover how to immediately access that care through yoga, and learn a set of tools that can help you cope with the physical and emotional demands of the teaching profession. Join Marcie and discover how yoga can aid in career sustainability and personal fulfillment outside the classroom.
Appropriate for all levels. Adaptations to postures will be given so that each student can work at his/her level of fitness and comfort.
