yoga for the upper back, neck and shoulders
Have you ever felt tension or pain in your upper back, neck, or shoulders?
If so, this series is perfect for you!
In this 3-week series, learn how to safely prevent and relieve muscle tension, increase flexibility in the upper back, neck and shoulders, and reduce mental stress. The first class will cover preventive stretching and strengthening, the second class will cover therapeutic poses to help relieve stress and tension, and in the third class we will combine poses from the first two classes, adapted to sitting in a chair, that you can do at your desk at work, or at home.
The instructor will provide a short, simple yoga home practice after each class.
All levels, including beginners, welcome!

About the Instructor: Sheryl Stich is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500-hour level. Sheryl came to Viniyoga after recovering from disc hernia surgery in 2002. She also had hip replacement surgery, and found that yoga and breath work not only helped retain her health physically, but also helped mentally and emotionally. She finds much joy and happiness in sharing this "calm awakening" connecting the mind, body and breath with her students.
