Mindfulness is a practice that invites us to continually turn our awareness toward our present experience. It is a practice that fosters non-judgement, acceptance, and trusting one's self. In this four-week introduction to mindfulness meditation, we will explore what mindfulness is and where it comes from; learn meditation practices to anchor awareness to the present moment; discuss what some of the current scientific research tells us about meditation; and discover practical ways to bring mindfulness to daily life.
