about the instructors

Tracy Weber is the owner and founder of Whole Life Yoga. She is a certified yoga instructor and yoga therapist through the American Viniyoga Institute's teacher training program and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500-hour level. She has also completed advanced studies in prenatal yoga. She originally came to yoga for relief from chronic back pain, and discovered the balance and stress relief yoga provides. Tracy believes that the benefits of yoga are much broader than physical exercise, and that yoga can help people achieve what they want in all areas of life.

Sheryl Stich is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500-hour level. Sheryl came to Viniyoga after recovering from disc hernia surgery in 2002. She also had hip replacement surgery, and found that yoga and breath work not only helped retain her health physically, but also helped mentally and emotionally. She finds much joy and happiness in sharing this "calm awakening" connecting the mind, body and breath with her students.

Suzette Birrell is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500-hour level. She is also a registered prenatal yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. She believes the practice of yoga is a way to live each day with joy by staying healthy both mentally and physically. Suzette brings this passion for life into her teaching, helping people truly live the life they want today and beyond.

Julie Miller is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program at the 200-hour level.  She has been practicing yoga for over ten years. As a long time environmental activist, spiritual seeker, and athlete, yoga complements and brings greater depth to her passions. Julie is especially interested in the effects of stress on the body and hopes to provide classes that bring greater awareness of how breath and movement can calm the mind and support wellness.  Off the mat, Julie considers her bike her life partner, finds peace in nature, and is a huge fan of the local theater scene.

Kim Tull-Esterbrook is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program at the 200-hour level. Kim uses yoga as a tool to help her know and understand herself and the world more fully, and as a practice to help her move with courage and grace through all the beautiful and challenging things she finds through that searching. It is her intention to share the gifts of yoga with others as they embark on their own journeys.

Shelley Curtis is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program, and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level. She is also a certified post-partum doula. Shelley came to yoga as a way to rehabilitate from a back injury, but quickly found that yoga benefits far more than just the physical body. A mom of two young boys, she draws from her experiences in pregnancy, childbirth and the transition to motherhood to help moms meet the physical, emotional and mental challenges through asana, breathing and meditation.

Katie West is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program at the 500-hour level. She found Viniyoga after years of chronic pain stemming from structural and muscular issues. The lineage's teachings spoke so clearly to her that she instantly fell in love and began her journey of reintegrating body, breath and mind to help minimize and manage her chronic pain and bring balance to her life. Katie loves the therapeutic and rehabilitative aspects of yoga and continues her yoga education by participating as a teaching assistant in Whole Life Yoga's current 200-hour teacher training.

Deb Fitzpatrick is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program, and is certified at the 200-hour level by Whole Life Yoga. She has also had training in Aston Techniques. Deb took her first yoga class in 2000, initially for the physical practice but has continued for the emotional, psychological and physical well being that a Yoga practice brings to her. Deb truly believes that anyone can do Yoga, which is her guiding principle for teaching in the Viniyoga tradition.

Karen Campbell is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's and the American Viniyoga Institute's teacher training programs and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500-hour level. A lifelong student, Karen continues her studies with Tracy Weber and also attends other workshops in the viniyoga lineage. Karen most enjoys yoga for the balance and flexibility it brings to body and mind, both on and off the mat.

Liziah Woodruff is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program at the 500-hour level. She has experience teaching yoga to adults, kids and families. She is a therapist, writer, storyteller and performer. Liziah is Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate. She has  received a Masters of Arts in Psychology/Systems Counseling from the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS) and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts.

Zue Leika is a certified yoga instructor through Whole life Yoga's teacher training program, and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500-hour level. Zue is a student who plans to major in Linguistics and also enjoys an active lifestyle. She feels Viniyoga is the perfect tool to compensate for stresses on the body from both outdoor activities and hours seated over a computer. Zue enjoys teaching group classes and looks forward to helping others discover the balance and inspiration that can be found through Viniyoga.

Patricia Hedtke is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level. She uses yoga as a means of letting her mind, body, and spirit join hands in partnership. Her goal is to make yoga available to those of a larger, rounder body type.

Zia Sunseri is a Seattle-based intuitive healer, and soundhealer practicing with individuals and groups. Zia is currently in her last year of internship to become a Psychotherapist & Art Therapist. She researches the neurophysiological evidence associated with the beneficial effects of soundhealing, visualization, active imagination, and art therapy techniques, in addition to traditional talk therapy.

Julia Fay is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga's teacher training program at the 500-hour level, and has been teaching yoga since 2006. She has studied chant with Gina Salá and Sanskrit with Kathryn Payne. Julia finds Viniyoga to be the perfect companion to her own personal chant and meditation practice, allowing one to find a deep level of attunement and connection. She is honored to share her love of chant and spiritual exploration with others and welcomes people of all backgrounds in finding their own connection to Source and the stillness within.
