yoga to ease stress
Chronic stress contributes to many health issues, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, high blood pressure, and heart disease. In fact, stress can aggravate almost any physical or emotional issue.
The yoga tools of movement, conscious breathing, and meditation can help us navigate through stressful circumstances. Yoga not only helps calm the body and clear the mind while you practice, but can also over time help transform your experience of stress.
In this 6-week series, we will take some time to understand how the nervous system is affected by stress and explore some of the situations that can trigger stress. Two simple yoga practices will be provided that you can do at home.
This series is appropriate for everyone, regardless of your age or fitness level.
